got grinder happy on Amy's Rebel again today but I'm very pleased with the results. I cut down the passenger peg loops and associated tabs. I also shaved down the sprocket cover. Its look'n pretty sexay now.
I also scotchbrited all of the aluminum. shes close! hopefully paint and lights next week! Amy also got the seat covered finally I'll have to grab a photo of it later!

The CX500
Brandons Bike Has been having mega problems with the Stator since last fall meaning when he got to high RPMs his bike would cut out like crazy but he just got this spiffy new CDI ignition that bypasses the broken shit and plugged it in and it runs better than ever! he also shaved the lowers on the front end, powder coated them, rebuilt the seals and put gaitors on. looks very clean and sexy. Also on a whim I modded some air ride Harley bagger shocks to fit his scoot and they compliment the front very nicely. Its a new machine just in time for it to warm up! Photos to come! Or refer to the Beer Run photo below haha.
New Burnout
Amy kicks ass
Cade's 21st
Dead bEAT
yeah i'm way behind.
got some stuff done on Javelina. King and queen check, skinny ass tank check. fender check.
so I got this rad king and queen/cobra seat ultimately from the same place the engine came from ironically enough they aren't from the same bike but still funny. the tank started its life as a funny tank of a Yamaha trials bike. I cut the tunnel out and narrowed up and put a flat bottom in for a high riding look and more fuel capacity. looks good I think. Fabbed up a license plate bracket/tailight for the model-A light. and its starting to look like a bike!

Javelina 1.1
So I had decided that a hardtail wasn't going to happen this year so i was gonna try to make it the coolest swing arm bike i possibly could but the '79 frame just wasn't working with me so Brandon and I took the roller apart and put everything in a '72 frame with some rake. I'm a million times happier with the stance. it looks loooong. The Golden Spike Swap meet is saturday hopefully the weather is nice and the deals are good. We have like two swaps a year here in Utah so its sort of a special deal. i'm stoked!
Spray bomb
Whoever spray painted the cam cover on my engine should fucking die, I hate you. Luckily 3M has their shit together.

Spättan
we're making some super big progress on Amy's bike she's calling Spättan (Swedish for girl biker or something like that) chopped the rear of the frame using Jewel lights from guitar amps for turn signals fabbed up some cool fender struts , seat made from scratch, battery cover made out of some crazy cool stamped aluminum. FINALLY found a tank to fit the weird stamped backbone. Ryan Rabies king of moped hooked me up with a Safari tank which is an Italian moped. cool little tank had these giant tabs and ears i had to take off the petcock issue gave me all sorts of trouble and i spent about 30 bucks in brass fittings until i decided to just retap the bung in the tank. handlebars made out of those of a Haro BMX bike. Got rid of the huge nasty air box for a UNI filter and a crankcase breather. also a cool little glass fuel filter that i made a nice little clip to show it off. Shes getting super excited and so am I. Also the other night Brandon called me up and said His stepdad and mega badass Craig got us some time with the sandblaster and powder coat equipment so we went down and blasted that Safari tank my sissy bar for the sporty. the lower legs from brandons honda and the heads and jugs for his Ironhead and then we powdered the legs and my sissy. looks good i'm stoked.
Sids Speed Shop
Caught wind of this place picking up an Ironhead find with Brandon and I need to start scrounging parts together for Javelina so I stopped by there and I was pleasently surprised. Ogden actually has a scene! and with Deyne behind the wheel of a joint like this they'll stay strong. Deyne is a prodigy. not much older than me but a whiz all things two wheels especially sportys. top notch work and his prices are fair and right next door is Time Warp paint. Adam is a super nice guy i met him last spring at a swap meet. He's killer with the flake and panels and all that jazz. I happened to be there when they were finishing up a couple of rad bikes even saw them fire up the Orange and gold number, fast as hell. that you can see down at the Auto-rama in SLC next month. Theyre legit, bikes beer, potato guns. good thing its not closer or they'd never get rid of me.

Javelinas new look
haven't had much time or money with moving and dropping some bucks for an engine but heres a few tweaks. Built those friscos out of a pair of nasty old apes. i'm really digging the look and the feel. I put my shovelhead shocks on it for the time being because some kook put some struts on it made out of 3/8 rod with nuts welded on the ends. I also put a headlight from the old Kawasaki Dirt Devil. probably won't stay on either.
The Heart and soul of the beast
finally saved up enough green to buy an old Harley engine. its a '73 Ironhead that is to go into Javelina. Brand new top end hasn't even been started. Fully assembled ready to go besides a few minor things. I got it from Kenny, my cousin Michelle's husband. Kenny's a hell of a nice guy and he's got a sweet little '68 Ironhead he built up from a basket case. last saturday Brandon and I went out to their little farmhouse and snatched up my engine. It came with a Bendix Zenith, a rad air cleaner, a regulator some kicker parts and a few other valuable odds and ends

Javelina
I saw this Ironhead roller on ksl today on lunch break called the dude and he said come get it. So Kam, Molly and I jumped in the truck after work and drove to SLC an picked it up with a few other odds and ends. the dude said he picked it up from some tweaker in the Desert. So since its a desert hog i'm gonna call it Javelina. I'm gonna make this bitch a long crazy chop. stay tuned!
