Spättan

we're making some super big progress on Amy's bike she's calling Spättan (Swedish for girl biker or something like that) chopped the rear of the frame using Jewel lights from guitar amps for turn signals fabbed up some cool fender struts , seat made from scratch, battery cover made out of some crazy cool stamped aluminum. FINALLY found a tank to fit the weird stamped backbone. Ryan Rabies king of moped hooked me up with a Safari tank which is an Italian moped. cool little tank had these giant tabs and ears i had to take off the petcock issue gave me all sorts of trouble and i spent about 30 bucks in brass fittings until i decided to just retap the bung in the tank. handlebars made out of those of a Haro BMX bike. Got rid of the huge nasty air box for a UNI filter and a crankcase breather. also a cool little glass fuel filter that i made a nice little clip to show it off. Shes getting super excited and so am I. Also the other night Brandon called me up and said His stepdad and mega badass Craig got us some time with the sandblaster and powder coat equipment so we went down and blasted that Safari tank my sissy bar for the sporty. the lower legs from brandons honda and the heads and jugs for his Ironhead and then we powdered the legs and my sissy. looks good i'm stoked.

sneak peak at Amy's rearend

Sids Speed Shop

Caught wind of this place picking up an Ironhead find with Brandon and I need to start scrounging parts together for Javelina so I stopped by there and I was pleasently surprised. Ogden actually has a scene! and with Deyne behind the wheel of a joint like this they'll stay strong. Deyne is a prodigy. not much older than me but a whiz all things two wheels especially sportys. top notch work and his prices are fair and right next door is Time Warp paint. Adam is a super nice guy i met him last spring at a swap meet. He's killer with the flake and panels and all that jazz. I happened to be there when they were finishing up a couple of rad bikes even saw them fire up the Orange and gold number, fast as hell. that you can see down at the Auto-rama in SLC next month. Theyre legit, bikes beer, potato guns. good thing its not closer or they'd never get rid of me.

TCB

sometimes its even too cold for us to work on bikes in the garage but still needa get shit done. so we dragged brandons bike into his bedroom to tear the frontend down to rebuild the seals shave the legs and paint.

Look what Amy got me!!

I have the most baddass girlfriend a hoodrat raggamuffin bum could ever even dream of.

Javelinas new look

haven't had much time or money with moving and dropping some bucks for an engine but heres a few tweaks. Built those friscos out of a pair of nasty old apes. i'm really digging the look and the feel. I put my shovelhead shocks on it for the time being because some kook put some struts on it made out of 3/8 rod with nuts welded on the ends. I also put a headlight from the old Kawasaki Dirt Devil. probably won't stay on either.

The Heart and soul of the beast

finally saved up enough green to buy an old Harley engine. its a '73 Ironhead that is to go into Javelina. Brand new top end hasn't even been started. Fully assembled ready to go besides a few minor things. I got it from Kenny, my cousin Michelle's husband. Kenny's a hell of a nice guy and he's got a sweet little '68 Ironhead he built up from a basket case. last saturday Brandon and I went out to their little farmhouse and snatched up my engine. It came with a Bendix Zenith, a rad air cleaner, a regulator some kicker parts and a few other valuable odds and ends

Toodaloo mudda fuckahhhhhhs

I finally moved back to utah. got laid off and hired in one day. had my truck shit the bed fixed it and moved into Nates house all in one weekend started my new job that monday. crazy how fast my life changed, still don't think its fully sunk in yet.
